What we’ll do

First, I will meet you at the heart of the Crescent City-the Great Mississippi-at the dock of the Canal Street Ferry Terminal. From there, I’ll take you on a smooth sailing, short and informative ride to the other side, docking in quaint Algiers Point. Described as “New Orleans’ Brooklyn without the bustle” Algiers Point has the best views of the city from the riverfront that have inspired artists throughout history. Exploring the walking paths on the westbank levee, I will give you some quick tips and tricks for creating successful sketches as we provide historical and relevant information about the city… stopping along the way to draw. We’ll end at a local bar for a drink to share our drawings and I can answer any questions you may have about NOLA and/or art. There I can assist with my knowledge of making and additional materials to be sure you have a unique keepsake unlike any other souvenir that you can take home and be proud to share with friends. I will walk you back to the ferry, or you can feel free to stick around explore the sites (Victorian cottages adorned with oak trees, community parks and a “village like” atmosphere outside of the city) on your own.
